TJPW Texas Stampede in Austin 2026 - Day 1

Every day of TJPW Texas Stampede began with a live performance by Up Up Girls, TJPW's in-house idol unit consisting of Miu Watanabe (pink), Shino Suzuki (green), Raku (yellow), and Uta Takami (white). Joining them around the ring was Houston's own maid cosplay dance team, Megami Maids, whose lively ringside choreography created the family-friendly festive vibe that made Texas Stampede far more than a pro-wrestling event.

For the opening day in Austin, Up Up Girls performed one of the group's signature songs, Love You Motto (pronounced "labyu-motto" in Japanese, a playful stylization of "love you more").

Takami and Suzume traded holds early, reversing headlocks and rope work before Takami landed a Cobra Twist. Suzume fired back with corner strikes and survived an armlock and a near-fall off a rope-run dropkick. The two went back and forth with roll-ups and counters, with Takami trapping Suzume in a Koala Clutch before Suzume escaped and answered with a Hachinosu Eight Knot. After more roll-up exchanges, Suzume's first attempt at Mikazuki Ryuseigun ended in a self-inflicted crash into the corner, but she recovered, hit a Face Crasher, and finished Takami off with Ring a Bell for the win.

Hattori Sakura made her debut, formerly known as Toribami Kaya. Using her Shinden Fudo-ryu style, she threw Shino down early for a quick cover, then controlled most of the exchanges with strikes and kicks. Shino fought back with elbows and a dropkick combo for a couple of near-falls and even countered into a sleeper hold, forcing Hattori to scramble for the ropes. The two traded big near-falls late, including a blocked belly-to-belly and a scary roll-up escape, before Hattori finally locked in the Shinden Fudo-ryu Mae-jime Ura for the submission win.

Misao made her entrance in the Hyper Misao-go, but before the bell, Raku and Pom fell asleep in the middle of the ring mid-introduction, leaving Misao baffled. After a comedic delay, she had the bell rung anyway, and the match spilled into chaos almost immediately, including an outside brawl where Misao's car clipped Raku instead of its intended target. Back in the ring, all four traded near-falls through signature spots like the tag-team Good Night Express, Poppo Chop, and Super View Odoriko, with Ashida and Misao trading off to keep up the pressure with strikes and corner attacks. The match spilled outside again late, with a cardboard Tesla joining the fun, before Raku closed it out in the ring with a Kagayaki into the Doctor Yellow for the win.

It was Yamashita's birthday, and the crowd showed it as she opened against Mizuki, with both trading early strikes and roll-up attempts before Yamashita and Endo started working over Mizuki and Aino with double-team offense. The action spilled outside, where Mizuki got some payback on Yamashita with a chair-assisted shot, and the match kept swinging back and forth between all four, with both teams trading near-falls through signature spots like Camel Clutch, Crash Rabbit Heat, and a series of blocked finishers including Attitude Adjustment and Venus DDT. Aino and Mizuki worked together late to try to cut off Yamashita, but Yamashita reversed a UBV attempt into a release German suplex, survived a blocked Skull Kick attempt, and finally connected with Skull Kick for the win.

The IInspiration started things off with some heel antics, throwing streamers and trash-talking before the bell, though they did shake hands to start. Jessie and Nakajima opened, with both teams trading early offence before the match spilled outside, where Nakajima levelled both opponents with a tope. Back in the ring, Uehara and Nakajima kept the pressure on with strikes and high-flying offence, including a hurricanrana and a string of near-falls, while The IInspiration looked to slow things down with heelish stalling and double-teams. The match broke down into a flurry of near-falls and blocked finishers on both sides, with Nakajima eventually getting cut off by a big boot, leaving Uehara alone to fall to The IInspiration's combination finisher, Idolizer, for the win.
After the match, Jessie and Cassie introduced themselves as The IInspiration and announced they're heading to Ryogoku on March 29th to challenge for the Princess Tag Team Championship. Nakajima and Uehara acknowledged how strong they were, with Uehara vowing to come back ready to win at Ryogoku.

Watanabe and Arai opened a Texas-style preview for their upcoming Princess Princess showdown, trading holds early before the rest of the match settled into a back-and-forth battle between all four. Both teams worked over each other's legs and traded big near-falls, with Tatsumi and Kamifuku adding leg-targeting offence and dragon screws to the mix. The match built through escapes, blocked finishers, and a series of stiff strikes, including Arai surviving a Giant Swing and countering into a Scorpion Hold before getting cut off. Watanabe and Tatsumi closed it out with a double-team Human Bomb spot, and after a final flurry of strikes, Watanabe finished Arai with the Teardrop for the win.
