TJPW Texas Stampede in Austin 2026 - Day 2

Girls Take the Ring was a fun pre-show event for girls ages 5 to 12, giving young fans the chance to step inside a professional wrestling ring with TJPW wrestlers. Participants learned simple, safe ring activities under the wrestlers' guidance, creating smiles and lasting memories before the main show began.

As they did throughout the four-day tour, Up Up Girls opened the show with a live performance, accompanied around the ring by Houston's Megami Maids. Their energetic performance in and around the ring helped transform the opening into a celebration of music, Japanese pop culture, and family-friendly entertainment before the wrestling even began.

On Day 2, Up Up Girls performed Kawa-tsuyo Challenger, their newest song at the time. The title combines the Japanese words for "cute" (kawaii) and "strong" (tsuyoi), perfectly reflecting the spirit of TJPW.

Endo and Ashida opened, trading dropkicks and roll-ups before Ashida started playing to the crowd with a chant routine, building into a Y-shaped guillotine for an early near-fall. Arai tagged in to add corner strikes and a body slam, working a combination submission with Ashida before Shino fired back with a flying body press for another near-fall. The match settled into a back-and-forth between all four, with both teams trading big boots, neckbreakers, and a series of blocked finishers, including Endo countering a Giant Swing into a Camel Clutch and Shino reversing a brainbuster into a roll-up. Arai caught Shino in a scorpion death lock late, and after Ashida cut off a rescue attempt from Endo with a release German suplex, the Kyoto duo finished Shino off with a modified brainbuster for the win.

Hyper Misao made her entrance and tried to grill Hattori with a couple of pointed questions before the bell, but when Hattori didn't answer to her liking, Misao declared her evil and started the fight herself. Hattori showed off her Shinden Fudo-ryu style early, working through holds and strikes before the action spilled outside, with Misao getting in some offence using her car. Back in the ring, the two traded near-falls through strikes and submissions, including Misao countering into Hyper Misao Returns and Hattori firing back with a top-rope flying forearm. Misao blocked an attempt at the Shinden Fudo-ryu Mae-jime Ura and tried to set up another Hyper Misao Returns, but Hattori escaped and rolled her up with a modified cradle pin (Kicchou Kagome) for the win.

Pom and Raku made their entrance dressed as the local mascot Bucky to a big crowd reaction, with some comedy business around the referee's earplugs before the bell. The two teams traded near-falls early, with Uehara stripping Pom out of the mascot costume mid-match, before settling into a back-and-forth battle full of signature spots like Poppo Chop, Super View Odoriko, and Banana Pillow. Things got silly again when Pom handed the costume to Kamifuku for a "Bucky fight" with the crowd chanting along, and the match built through escapes and blocked finishers on both sides, including Raku reversing a snap suplex into a Face Crasher. Kamifuku and Uehara worked together late to fight off a comeback from Pom, and after Kamifuku blocked a thumb strike, she finished Pom with a floating brainbuster into the Famouser for the win.

The bell rang and the two locked up before trading elbow strikes, with Tatsumi taking control early until Aino countered with a shoulder tackle. The action spilled outside, where Tatsumi got the crowd chanting and took things into the stands, getting playful with a popcorn bit before forcing some into Aino's mouth and following up with strikes. Back in the ring the two settled into a back-and-forth battle, trading near-falls through dragon backbreakers, suplexes, and shoulder tackles, with Aino blocking a Venus DDT attempt and Tatsumi countering a second one of her own. Tatsumi eventually locked in a Dragon Sleeper and transitioned into the White Dragon Sleeper, forcing Aino to tap out.

Yamashita and Nakajima opened with a lock-up before trading strikes and counters, with Yamashita taking early control using soccer-ball kicks both in the ring and around ringside. The action spilled outside repeatedly, with both landing dives and Yamashita even chasing Nakajima with a running start from the entrance gate. Back in the ring, Nakajima fired back with a flurry of strikes and high-flying offence, including a swan dive hurricanrana and a pair of dives outside, before the two settled into a back-and-forth battle of big near-falls and blocked finishers, with both reversing suplexes and avalanche-style moves. Nakajima escaped a Skull Kick attempt and kept the pressure on with a release Northern Lights suplex and a 619, but Yamashita eventually blocked a follow-up, connected with Skull Kick, and closed things out with a flurry of strikes capped by the Crash Rabbit Heat for the win.

After the match, Yamashita said facing Nakajima always feels special since they don't get to wrestle each other one-on-one as often these days, and that the Texas tour gave her a great chance to test herself against a rival she still feels pushed to keep improving against. Nakajima, frustrated with the loss, vowed to get her revenge later in the tour.

Mizuki and Takami made their entrance in matching white costumes, with both teams trading early near-falls and double-team spots, including a flying body slam from Watanabe that drew a big crowd reaction. The match settled into a fast-paced back-and-forth between all four, with Suzume and Watanabe working together on big spots like the Mikazuki Ryuseigun and Human Bomb, while Mizuki and Takami countered with dives, dropkicks, and a Koala Clutch attempt. The action stayed close through a string of escapes and blocked finishers on both sides, until Suzume cut off Mizuki with a Ring a Bell, clearing the way for Watanabe to finish Takami with a Razor Beam into the Teardrop for the win.
